Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
A HRA is a tax-advantaged employer owned account that allows contributions to employee medical expenses without being considered taxable income. Unlike the HSA, a HRA does not require members to be enrolled in a specific type of health insurance product and contributions are made solely by the employer. Employers determine what expenses are eligible for reimbursement. This account is not portable.
