NH same gender civil unions bill will be signed into law by Governor Lynch

This act permits same gender couples to enter civil unions and have the same rights, responsibilities, and obligations as married couples. Once signed by the governor, it will take effect January 1, 2008. Employers should review their benefit plans and determine what effect it will have on them. This may be difficult to do as there is a "mix" of state and federal laws that govern workplace benefits.
