Reimbursement rates to states established

HHS released final regulations Friday establishing the federal reimbursement rate to states for newly established Medicaid patients. The federal government will reimburse states 100-percent the first three years of the expansion and then phase down to 90-percent in 2020. This rule was released after HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the new law could cause increases in healthcare costs to some.
