FSA Carryover Rule Change Favorable

Employers need to make changes to plans

Last year the rule for allowing carryovers of up to $500 was implemented for flexible spending accounts. Previously, no carryover was permitted and the “use it or lose it” feature dissuaded many from making contributions to the tax free account. Employers must make changes to their plan prior to implementing the change.
