The Medicare Mystery: An Employer Perspective – Seminar

Turning 65, whether retiring or remaining employed, is an important time for many Baby Boomers. Weighing both Medicare and employer-sponsored health insurance options leaves many employees confused about their best course of action. Inevitably, they turn to HR – leaving many HR professionals feeling unsure how to support their employees through this decision-making process.

Common employee questions include:

  • What is Medicare Part A? Part B? Part D?
  • Do I need to enroll in a supplemental plan or can I stay on the employer’s health plan?
  • Am I going to be assessed a penalty if I don’t enroll now but I’m eligible?
  • Are the rules different for employers of different sizes?
  • If I have an employer plan, will my health plan or Medicare pay primary?
