Hospitals that contract Emergency Room physicians who have a different billing process than the facility they are working in could possibly be out of network providers. Depending on the individual’s policy, the patient could be faced with unexpected bills. Patient advocates claim there is no way for a patient to know this

The ACA individual mandate penalty will be effective April 15th for the uninsured. Penalties start at $90 rise significantly over the next few years. Uninsured working people can expect a penalty of one percent of their adjusted gross income rising to 2.5 percent in 2016. Families can expect even higher penalties.
