Most ACA Enrollees Are Paying Premiums
Posted 05.07.14
There may be duplicate enrollments in the system
In a story recently published in the New York Times, most people who selected plans under the ACA are paying their initial premiums. Of the eight million that signed up, it is reported that there are many duplicate enrollments in carrier systems as a result of problems with the enrollment website. Consumers may have inadvertently enrolled twice and it may take months to clear the duplications up.
The Massachusetts Exchange, known as the Massachusetts Health Connector has had many problems and the state has decided to abandon it. Parts of the Connector served as a model for the ACA.
