It is perceived that the White House is trying to insulate Democratic candidates form midterm election criticism

Late yesterday afternoon, the U.S. Treasury released final regulations surrounding the Employer Shared Responsibility Mandate. Contained within the final regulations released by the Treasury were additional delays of the mandate that required businesses with between 50-99 full-time employees to provide affordable minimum essential health insurance coverage. The delay postpones the requirement to 2016.

More on this recent delay can be found in the February 11, 2014 NAHU Newswire and the NEEBCo Health Care Reform Bulletin.
