First Health Providers Now Considered Out Of Network with Community Health Options

Posted 03.02.16

Effective 3/1/16, Community Health Options (CHO) has announced that First Health Network providers in New Hampshire who have not agreed to a direct provider contract with CHO will be considered Out Of Network providers.

For members who had a visit with a First Health Network provider in New Hampshire in the last 60 days, claims will be paid In Network for 60 days after 2/29/16. After that, they will be processed as Out Of Network.

“Actively Engaged” members may be eligible for up to 90 days of In Network consideration, if the provider:

  • continues treatment for an appropriate period of time (based on transition period goals),
  • shares information about the treatment plan with CHO,
  • continues to follow CHO utilization policies and procedures, and
  • accepts the benefit payment in effect prior to the termination date.

This will be handled on a case by case basis with CHO and members should contact customer service at 855-624-6463.

Members can visit www.healthoptions.org to search for in-network providers by clicking the Quick Links option and selecting “Find a Health Care Provider”.
