White House now claims there was no ACA enrollment number goal
The White House is now downplaying the 7 million enrollment goal set by the Congressional Budget Office for March 31, 2014. The last reported enrollment figure for year ending was 2.1 million. The hope was that 3 million would have enrolled by the end of December. It is uncertain how may have actually enrolled in Marketplace plans versus enrolled in Medicaid. The Obama Administration is not releasing the details at this time.
Also reported in the January 2, 2014 NAHU Newswire is about the number of physicians running for congress in 2014. More than 30 physicians are running for office and this could push the number of physicians as congressmen to the highest in 40 years.
